The only way political leaders are kept in line with the U.S. Constitution is if the people are educated enough on constitutional law to recognize abuses and bring it to the attention of the Congress and demand change.  As Thomas Jefferson put it, "If a nation expects to be free and ignorant, it expects what never was nor ever will be.
